Vall de Incles

Vall de Incles is a stunning glacier valley and an old trading route to France. Situated between El Tarter and Soldeu Vall de Incles is closed to traffic all summer. Walks from the valley open up high mountain lakes, pastures, old settlements and stunning views. Vall de Incles is one of Andorra's beautiful high mountain wilderness areas.

How to Get to Vall de Incles

By Car

The access to Vall de Incles is off the road CG-2 (From Andorra La Vella - follow signs for France) between El Tarter and Soldeu. There are two car parks at the enterance to the valley. These are pay and display car parks (only coins no credit cards).

By Public Bus

From Andorra la Vella take Bus Line 4 - you can see the time table by clicking this link . From Pas de la Casa again Bus Line 4 in the direction of Andorra La Vella. Check the timetable here

Getting into the Valley

In the summer cars can enter and park in the valley before 9am int he summer or after 6pm. Otherwise there is an electric bus that runs the 2.5 kms from the carpark at the enterance to the valley up to near to the L'Ovella Negra restaurant. The bus runs every 20 minutes from 9am through to 6pm throughout the summer and costs 3€ per adult and 2€ per child (upto 12) one way.

There are two ways to walk in to the valley. The road is open and sunny or there is a beautiful path that follows the river up through the trees.

Our Suggested Walks in Vall de Incles

1. The Valley Floor (6km round trip, vertical rise 100m)

From the carpark the path wanders along the valley floor climbing 100m in the 3km to the Vall de Incles Interpretation Centre and the Fabulous Hotel Restuarant L'Ovella Negra.

2. Lake Jucla (9km round trip, 450m vertical rise , allow 4 hours)

Reputed to be one of the best hikes in Andorra the walk starts from the Baladosa Bridge (near the Hotel Restuarant L'Ovella Negra) and assends up to two wonderful lakes. At the first lake there is a refuge that serves food and drink

3. Cabana Sorda Lake (5.5kms round trip, 470m vertical rise, allow 4 hours)

Lake Cabana Sorda is located ina stunning glacial cirque high above the Incles Valley. The path starts half way along the valley at the 1.5km mark and climbs up through the forest. When you arrive at the lake there is a refuge which offers some refreshments.

4. El Siscaro (7km round trip, 500m vertical, 3 1/2 to 4 hours)

The walk up to Lake Baix (also know as Siscaro) is quite easy. the path climbs gradually followng the river then opens up to high mountain pastures
