Here is a selection of our favourite beaches from Sitges and down along the Costa Dorada.

Platja de l'Home Mort

While Sitges has 4 kms of golden sandy beaches, just to the south lies a beautiful cove - Platja de l'Home Mort. From the Punta de les Coves view point follow the path south which drops down to the railway line. Bare left through a tunnel underneath the railway line to imerge to a small quiet rocky cover. There is a small beach cafe and clear blue sea dor swimming.

Coma Ruga beach is a long 2.3km swath of golden sand which has Bllue Flag status year afer year. With full facilities of beache cafes, sunloungers, shower this beach also has two unique features - at one end The Riuet - where medicinal thermal waters spring up while to the south there is the Masia Blanca a 450 hectare marine reserve.

CALA CANYADELL is hidden between Altafulla and Torredembarra. It is reached by an easy path with wooden walkways – these help protect the natural environment leading down tpo the beach. Cala Canyadell is 60 meters long and about 35m wide. it nestles between two rocky outcrops and flanked by a pine forest that makes the beach an area of tranquility! For the more energetic, going towards Torredembarra, there is a path of just over two kilometers through the Roquer area, with cliffs by the sea ending at the tallest lighthouse in Catalonia.

PLATJA DEL TORN (Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant) is natural in every way! It is famous not just for its environment, but especially for being one of the first nudist beaches. El Torn beach is natural in the broadest sense, from its bathers to the surrounding landscape! The fine, golden sand, together with the Mediterranean pine forest that protects it, is part of the protected area of natural interest named Rojala-Platja del Torn. Its waters are part of the Natura 2000 Network, which preserves the sea bed, rich in Posidonia algae and marine fauna. Next to the islet that flanks one end of the beach, hides the cave of the Sea Wolf unfortunately only accessible from the sea and where sometimes depending on weather conditions, a small inland beach is formed.

PLATJA LLARGA is one of Salous finest but quietest beaches – fringed by pine trees, but flanked by hotels and villas at each end this 1km beach is definitely worth a visit.The beach is reached by road from Salou, there is parkingbut you have to be prepared to walk a little. The beach has showers, sunbed and parasol rental along with watersport equipment rental.
