Sitiing high up in the Pyrennes with Catalonian Spain on one side and France on the other lies the Principality of Andorra.High mountains, lakes, valleys constrast with the duty free shopping enclaves of Pas de la Casa and Andorra la Vella.
Andorra la Vella is the capital of the Principality and is almost in the middle of the country. The city is separated by the Valira river which starts high up and ends up flowing into the Mediterraen sea. Andorra is not just about shopping, but provides a unique city break, combining shopping, museums, spas with cable cars that allow you to access the mountains. Between December and April the snow beckons skiers and snowboards and the city is connected to all the ski resorts by regular ski bus. In the spring, summer and autumn there are plenty of walks, cycle paths and high mountain tracks to explore.
