Oslo is the capital of Norway, known as the outdoor capital Oslo is located in southern Norway at the head of the Oslo Fjord. With plenty of green spaces and museums Oslo offers an active cultural break. The Bygdøy Peninsula is home to some wonderful museums - the Viking Ship - with ships dating back to the 9th century, Kon Tiki Museum which faetures ships and vessels used by the Norwegain explorer Thor Heyerdahl including the actual Kon Tiki a raft sailed across the Pacific. Take a tram up to Holmekolm to the famous ski jump that over looks Oslo. In winter you can ski in Oslo Vinter Park.
