There are many a nice walk in Belfast such as a walk over ‘Black mountain’ or ‘Cave Hill’ where you can see the whole city and even Scotland depending on the weather! For more beautiful scenery within the city, we recommend a visit to the Botanic Park, Ormeau Park or Lady Dixon Park. Full with flowers and over 100 acres to explore.   Scrabo Tower located just outside of Belfast is a 135 feet high 19th-century lookout tower. Worth a visit for its stand-alone views, this landmark can be seen from afar for its sheer height. Another attraction just outside the city would be ‘Ulster folk and transport museum’.

 

Tourism

Belfast is Northern Ireland's capital city. The dockyards have been building ships dating back to the 17th century. The RMS Titanic was built here and there is a fabulous museum dedicated to the Titanic and it's ill-fated maiden voyage between Southampton and New York - on 15 April 1912 the Titanic struck an iceberg and sank.

 

Take the Political Tour and discover the reasons behind the past troubles see the Peace Wall and end up with a visit to Crumlin Road Jail. The City Hop on Hop off tourist bus is an excellent way to discover Belfast. Visit Belfast Castle, the City Hall and why not Belfast Zoo? Belfast comes alive at night with - enjoy Irish hospitality in one of the many pubs, restaurants or bars.

 

Why not stay a few extra days and explore the beauty of Northern Island - taking in the famous Giants Causeway, follow the coastal road around the north, explore Dunluce Castle in County Antrim, brave crossing the famous Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge and why not a visit to the Bushmills distillery - home to Northen Islands famous whiskey?
