London is the capital of the United Kingdom. It is a 21st-century city with history stretching back to Roman times. At its centre stand the imposing Houses of Parliament, the iconic ‘Big Ben’ clock tower and Westminster Abbey, site of British monarch coronations. Across the Thames River, the London Eye observation big wheel provides stunning views of the entire city.

A different way to see London is to take the river bus from Hampton Court down to Grenwich, then the Emirates cable car across the river and the Docklands Light Railway back into the city centre
