Andorra is an oasis for road biking! Set high up in the Pyrenees between Catalonia in Spain and France Andorra has not been on many road cyclists radar until recently. Don't come to Andorra if you want to take it easy and relax on gentle rolling roads. Andorra is about big climbs! Not necssarily long, but some with some really steep sections of  upto17 to 18%!

The roads in Andorra outside of the winter ski season are generally quiet. The climbs are all clearly marked for us roadies - regualr signs let you know the distance to go to the top of the climb, the gradiant and the altitude.

Take the climb from Ordino to Arcalis, a mere 10.5kms but with a height difference of 724m and an average gradient of 6.9%
