Les 2 Alpes

Les 2 Alpes started to take shape just after the end of the 2nd World War. Situated on a high mountain col (1650) the first building were built in 1946 on the high pastures of Venosc and Mont de Lans. The village is now a large sprawling resort of hotels, apartments, chalets, bars and restaurants that straddle the two main roads that now form a one way system.

Now Les 2 Alpes now has Europes highest skiable glacier (3600m), over 200kms of marked piste with a vertical drop of 2300m. 43 lifts connect the 96 pistes of which over 70% are above 2000m. To ensure snow coverage especially on the lower slopes Les 2 Alpes have installed over 250 snow making machines.
