The Coastal Way

The Coastal Way runs the entire length of Cardigan Bay. It's a 180 mile (290km) odyssey that threads between blue seas on one side and big mountains on the other. From Aberdaron to St Davids, the coast is dotted with harbour towns and resorts, fishing villages and secret coves. Vast stretches of sand, towering cliffs and beaches of all kinds in between. There are plenty of loops and byways to explore. Endless ways to discover your own secret places.

Nature

Hop on a local boat trip and go seal spotting in either Cwmtydu or in New Quay. In these two spots you could be in for a treat and get to see some dolphins! Both spots have beautiful beaches and great seafood restaurants with local fresh fish on the menu.

Before ending your adventure in the Welsh capital Cardiff, why not explore Pembrokeshire? With its award-winning sandy beaches, woodey valleys and miles upon miles of walking trails.

The Welsh coast ofers the most amazing diverse experiences, the food and drink, the culture and history sit in our wonderful Welsh towns. The Coastal way is an unique route through Wales. Be ready to explore caves and coves on our magnificent coast. Seal and dolphin spotting or surfing at one of Wales’s beaches.

Start off your adventure by paying a visit to Aberdaron, a pretty fishing village at the Western tip of the Llyn Peninsula and relax on the beautiful white sandy beach whilst tucking into some fish and chips from the ‘Caban Pysgod Sblash’.

Portmeirion, most famous for being an Italian renaissance style village located on the coast of North Wales, most famous for being the setting of the cult television program The Prisoner. Its amazing Italian style architecture is a thing of beauty and should be visited on your travels.

More historic relics in Wales are the castles. Criccieth Castle nestled between 2 beaches, Criccieth beach and Tremadog Bay. Take your time to visit this relic.
