Number of Travellers

Granada is located in the foothillsof the Sierra Nevada mountains in Andalusia in the south of Spain about 1 hour from Malaga. It is just 70km from the coast which means that it is possible to go skiing and sunbathe on the beach in the same day.

Granada is known for grand examples of medieval architecture dating back to the Moorish occupation, especially the Alhambra. This sprawling hilltop fortress complex encompasses royal palaces, serene patios, and reflecting pools from the Nasrid dynasty, as well as the fountains and orchards of the Generalife gardens.

The Alhambra is Spain's most visited monument and many consider that it should be one of the 10 wonders of the World.
