Lecht 2090

Situated high up at 637m (or 2090 feet above sea level in old money!) on the A939 between Cockbrodge to the south and Tomintoul to the north the Lecht is perfect for family skiing and learning to ski.

The Skiing

The main ski area is to the west of the road and is served by 12 lifts - 1 chairlift 8 drags and a couple of moving carpet lifts which serve the nursery slopes.

All the nursery slopes are close to the Lecht Day Lodge - perfect for a rest inbetween lessons and runs. A series of lifts opens up the mountain side offering blue runs to the south of the day lodge progessing up to reds off the Falcon and Harrier drag towns and ending with a black that runs down on the northern side of the Harrier drag. At the top of the HArrier drag there is also a fun park.

The buzzard lift rises up on the other side of the road to the day lodge - often overlooked it opens up two great red runs and a blue run back to the day lodge.

There has been some snow making machines installed that cover the lower slopes and a programme is in place to increase this for the 20/21 season to cover the mid and upper slopes.
