Glasgow is Scotland's largest city built along either side of the River Clyde. Though not the capital city of Scotland Glaswegians (those who are from and live in Glasgow) consider Glasgow as Scotland's premier city! Glasgow developed through ship building. The dock area has now neen transformed into shopping, financial, living and rescreational areas with music venues, museums, walkways and parks.

Glasgow is famed for its Victorian and art nouveau architecture, a rich legacy left over from the city's 18th–20th-century prosperity due to trade and shipbuilding. Today it's a national cultural hub, home to institutions including the Scottish Opera, Scottish Ballet and National Theatre of Scotland, as well a number of acclaimed museums

Glasgow has two rival football teams - Rangers and Celtic
