Our Unofficial Ski Guide to Ski Area Campiglio

From Pinzolo there are a choice of two bubble lifts that rise up 1500m. A series of chairlifts open up wide open blue and red runs. Take the quad chair up to Dos del Sabion at 2100m and drop down the Valagora red – there is some wonderful off piste to the left. Take the 4 man chair up to Monte Grual before one of the steeper (but wide) red runs down to the bubble lift that links into Madonna di Campiglio

From the bubble lift station slide down to the Patascoss Express quad chair (with heated seats and a cover for those snowy days!) and ride up to Cinque Laghi at 2100. This area also has the World Cup race pistes to challenge you! Take the long cruising 5 Laghi blue piste down to Madonna, swing left at the bottom for the Pradalago bubble lift. The Pradalago area offers wide open blues and reds. From the bottom station take the bubble ift up to the highest point at Passo Groste and ski right underneath the Dolotmites! The Chalet Fiat situated at the summit of Monte Spinale is a fabulous place for lunch (they also open once a week in the evening). There is a 3 km toboggan run open during the day. Toboggans are rented from the top bubble lift station. The Little Grizzly black run is a thigh burning test dropping down to Madonna.

From Pradalago the third area – Folgarida/Marilleva opens up. Wide open blue and red runs link Folgarida with Marilleva. 3 huge bowls open up some tempting off piste while lunch in the Refuge Solander must be on every skiers to do list.
